Symbiose is a small Dutch design company, that recently has also turned to designing board games. This all happened about a year ago, somewhere in a bar in Utrecht. Richard van Oostrum and Rob Vermeer were drinking beer and discussing the plans for the future. Then they remembered that a long time ago, they had agreed that hey would once design a boardgame.

And so they did (This first game could be played on beer mats.. What a coincidence). Although the game engine had a lot of possibilities, it also had too many flaws, as far as game balance etc. was concerned. The idea was put aside, but thinking about the game had triggered something in the heads of the designers...They could not let it go. And so the ideas came, and are still coming.

In the meantime, Symbiose Games has produced 3 games. 'War Stories' was the first, the latest additions are 'Transport' and 'LSD' (february 2006). Feel free to look around the site, and maybe we'll see you at the next fair!
